Sape is an honest, well behaved stallion who enjoys working. His performance report in 2000 states that he is very talented in all disciplines, has a lot of charisma and is a good mover. His trot is very fluent and spacious and he shows a lot of potential under saddle.
His progeny have proven to be beautiful horses that are close enough to the racial type Friesian, but some could have more length in the neck and on average they could have some stronger connections. Strong points of his progeny are their long croups. They are well behaved, easily trained horses, but they are not extraordinary movers. They tend to walk better when walked by hand instead of under saddle.
