Krist is a thoughtful, but impudent horse who has his own vision of things. He has good posture and nice spacious movements. According to his central research report in 1998 his walk, trot and canter are good. He is a good mover in dressage and harness, but especially in show.
Krist’s progeny are good looking horses with a nice front and shoulders. The loins however are not well developed and the hind legs tend to be too long and sickle hocked. The walk is spacious, but usually French. While trotting, the strength in the hind legs was usually lacking. Too often descendants were found with ill coordination in the backhand, which affects the tact and regularity of movements. He did not get accepted on his progeny in 2002. They do look good and move nicely, but some have problems with the hind legs and the loins. Because of this the judges took away his breeding permit. He also does not seem to pass on his good movements in harness.
