Neenke 5287 Model-Preferent
When, 1989, we are having a look at the then 25-year-old Neenke and her descendants, with Bauke and Tineke de Boer of Birtsum, we met De Boer senior. He had bought the Golanda, Neenke’s grandmother, born in 1947... According to him, Golanda was high-spirited and descended from a mate with excellent conformation and an appetite for work. Yvonne was a daughter of Nammele 147, who has brought us so many excellent breeding mares.
With Golanda, De Boer bred Onnie, a mare with excellent gaits. With her daughter Klaesjen, Onnie once led the field in a group of eight pair’s teams. Onnie’s father was Eldert, champion at the stallion inspection and awarded 1A for Performance.
Neenke
Year after year, Neenke, a model herself and several times 1A in her category, won with her descendants the best breeding group title at the breeding day in Oldenboorn: in 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, and 1988.
In 1988, Neenke herself was awarded 1B, daughter Mintje 1A Sibbelien 1B in the model mares category and Els 1D. In 1982, Sibbelien was breeding day’s champion and in 1987 NHS champion breeding mares in harness. Other horses from this pedigree also performed well, for example Mintje, in the show horse category.
