This stallion has style, works easily and is willing to work. Brandus is a great mover and naturally shows fluency, smoothness, space, tact and suspension in his movements. He has a lot of charisma and his walk, trot and canter are all three very good. His performance report in 1995 states he is talented in all disciplines. Scores at his performance test were: Walk 8.5, Trot 9, Canter 8, Riding Test 8, Long reining Test 8.5, Driving Test 7, Show 9.5, Character 9, Stable behaviour 10, Trainability 9.
His progeny are well developed horses, who are mostly overbuilt to the front. But lack sometimes  the racial type Friesian looks. This 'lack of' however was not serious enough to make him loose his breeding permit. There are some differences between Brandus’s descendants, but on average they have proven to be good horses to use. About 65% of his offspring were mothered by a ster mare.
